Historically a railroad town, Hermosa, SD, is the physical point that bridges the wide, vast prairie to the breathtaking features of the Black Hills.
Like railroads connect people, places, and goods, ‘Hermosa Connects’ was started to connect and promote our businesses, events, and people. We can’t wait to show you all our little town has to offer!

Hermosa Huckster 2025
We have two Huckster events in the books and will be planning our next one after the new year starts! These events have been highly attended by both vendors and consumers. 60+ vendors and a lot of new activities as we grow even more! The soapbox derby is one of the new events that will stay on the schedule. We will be asking for volunteers to be the insiders of this very bold event, so consider being involved for the day!
